Last few days in New York....

and it has been a busy week... full of planning, packing and seeing of old friends. And although it won't be a very long trip, there seems to be a growing amount of luggage. I'm sure those of you with kids will understand - who knew such a tiny little baby would need so many things?? I've got to continue to remind myself that they DO have babies in Italy too! Well, we are almost there and growing ever more excited/nervous/happy/sad/worried... about our trip and acknowledge how lucky we are for this opportunity.

For those of you who do not know, Steve will be doing research into molecular cardiology with Dr. Sylvia Priori - who is one of the world's experts in inherited channelopathies [genetic heart defects that cause sudden cardiac arrest]. While Steve is busy at work, Seren & I will be exploring the city of Pavia and possibly venturing into Milan, where I will have to restrain myself from the amazing shopping (please do let us know of any special requests to bring back for you!). There will not, however, be any restraint involved with the delicious Italian food & drink - oh and do not fret...I will be posting some pictures of our mouth-watering meals :) I may come back with baby #2 in the form of pasta and tiramasu!

We board our flight this Saturday evening and so, we say farewell for now. We'll be back - Italia style! See you then!
